About Dr. Gittisriboongul

I’m a proud first-generation Asian American, the son of Thai immigrants, and was born and raised in Montebello, California. My story is deeply rooted in the belief that education transforms lives—because it transformed mine.

Over the past 24+ years, I’ve served in public education as a teacher, coordinator, director, chief technology officer, and assistant superintendent across four school systems. I’ve also worked in the private sector as a web developer and project manager, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and systems thinking into education.

What grounds me is simple: students come first. I believe deeply in public education, community partnership, and the power of innovation to improve outcomes for all learners—especially those historically underserved.

As Superintendent of Lynwood Unified, I lead with purpose, integrity, and a deep respect for the community I serve.

Core Values
At the foundation of this 100-day plan—and my leadership—is a set of guiding values that shape how we serve students, collaborate as a team, and engage our community.
  • 🎯 Student Focused
Every decision begins with what’s best for students—academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • 🤝 Community & Inclusivity
We build schools where every student, family, and staff member feels seen, heard, and valued.
  • 🧭 Integrity & Trust
Honest communication, transparency, and follow-through are essential to strong leadership.
  • 🤲 Collaboration
We achieve more together—across departments, schools, and with our community partners.
  • 🚀 Educational Excellence & Innovation
We embrace bold thinking, use data wisely, and create learning environments that prepare students for the future.
